The impact of an educational curriculum using the cognitive modeling strategy in learning the skill of serving in volleyball for students

Abstract

The study aimed to prepare an educational curriculum according to the strategy of cognitive modeling in learning the skill of sending volleyball for students to students, and to identify the differences in the post tests of the research groups, the skill of serving volleyball for students, and the research community is represented by the students of the second stage of the morning study in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences The University of Basra for the academic year (2022-2023) studying the vocabulary of the curriculum prescribed by the sectoral body in Iraq, which numbered (126) students, with (6) classes. The original research is Division (A - D) and by the lottery method, Division (A) of (12) students became the experimental group, which used the cognitive modeling strategy. And Division (D), which numbered (12) students, the control group, which used the usual method for the teacher, and the research sample became (24) students distributed equally into two groups, and (12) students from Division (C) were adopted as an exploratory group, and the results indicated that the use of the educational curriculum According to the cognitive modeling strategy, a significant improvement was achieved in learning the skill of serving in volleyball for students among students. The researchers recommended the need to use the strategy of cognitive modeling within the teaching methods in the faculties of physical education and sports science.
