Small cooperative games and their role in reducing the phenomenon of school bullying for middle school students

Abstract

The research aimed to identify the phenomenon of school bullying and to know the effect of small cooperative games in reducing it among middle school students. The researchers used the experimental method and the sample of the study was the students of the fourth scientific grade of Al-Salam Preparatory School for Boys in Ramadi District, who numbered (52) students and were divided by lottery into A control group and an experimental group. The control group applied the curriculum prepared by the physical education teacher, while the experimental group applied the prepared small cooperative games for a period of (8) weeks and two educational units per week. The researchers concluded that the cooperative small games have a positive effect in reducing the phenomenon of school bullying in post-tests. Between the control and experimental groups and in favor of the experimental group, the researchers recommended that all school administrations should pay attention to physical education lessons for all age levels.
