Abstract

The aim of the research was to: prepare exercises using weights and plyometric methods and identify their effect on developing some components of special strength and the technical performance of the front hand jump skill on a vaulting table device. The research sample was second-year students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra for the academic year 2023-2024, where it was used. The researcher used the experimental method by designing equal groups in order to suit the research problem and objectives. The statistical program SPSS V 26 was used to process the research data. The researcher concluded that weight training has a positive effect in developing the maximum strength of the legs and arms and the skill performance of the front hand jump on the jumping table. He recommended that the second experimental group be skipped. Which used plyometric exercises to develop the components of special strength and skill performance on the first experimental group that used weight exercises
