Abstract

The study aims to find out the effect of the Six Hats strategy (SIX HATS) on developing the spirit of challenge and the accuracy of the skills of the whip pass and shooting from the handball jump of the fourth preparatory students and to know the preference (SIX HATS strategy or the subject teacher's strategy) in the special variables of the research. The experimental approach was applied for its suitability to the study problem. The research sample included the students of the Scientific Fourth Preparatory School of Anah for Boys for the academic year (2022/2023) and they reached (48) students. They were divided into two groups, an experimental and a control group, and each group had (24) students. The two research groups conducted a pre-test for the measure of the spirit of challenge and the accuracy of the skills of the whip pass and shooting from the jump. After that, the experimental group implemented the independent variable (SIX HATS strategy), which is Division (D). Then the control group, Division (B), implemented the strategy of the subject teacher, and the educational curriculum was applied during eight weeks, with two units per week, and the time of the unit was (40) minutes. The researcher took into account the gradation of the educational unit exercises from easy to difficult during the lesson, and the research result was processed through the program for statistical analyzes of the data (S.P.S.S).

And it was concluded that the Six Hats strategy developed the spirit of challenge and the accuracy of the skills of the whip pass and shooting from jumping in handball among the fourth preparatory students, and one of the researcher's recommendations is that similar studies be conducted using this strategy on other skills and for different ages in order to build a basic foundation for the game.
