Abstract
This study examines the effect of using low-intensity interval training exercises on weight loss, body fat reduction, and certain anthropometric measurements among women aged (45–55) years. The importance of this research lies in the increasing prevalence of health problems associated with excess weight in this age group, such as cardiovascular diseases and diabetes, which necessitates adopting safe and effective training methods.
The study employed a training program based on low-intensity interval exercises, implemented over a specific period with a set number of weekly sessions. The research sample included a group of women within the targeted age range. Variables such as body weight, body fat percentage, and anthropometric indicators like waist and hip circumference were measured before and after the program.
The results showed significant differences in favor of the post-tests, as the training program contributed to reducing weight, lowering body fat percentage, and improving body measurements noticeably. This is attributed to the nature of low-intensity interval training, which enhances metabolism and increases energy expenditure without causing excessive fatigue.
The study recommends adopting this type of exercise as a safe and effective method to improve overall health and reduce weight among women in this age group, emphasizing the importance of consistency and adherence to the program to achieve optimal results.
