Abstract

In the first chapter, the researchers addressed the importance of the research, which is to understand scout coordination and its role in promoting teamwork in scout and school departments in particular and in the scout movement in general. The research problem emerged when the researchers observed disparities in the levels of scouting, logistical, and technical coordination among scouting units, which sometimes led to a dispersion of collective effort and weak effective communication among members. This prompted the researchers to investigate the nature of the relationship between the quality of coordination and the effectiveness of teamwork. The study aimed to develop a scale for scout coordination and a scale for teamwork among scout leaders, as well as to establish standard scores and levels for both variables in order to accurately diagnose the reality on the ground. The second chapter addressed the most important terms in the research title. The third chapter discusses the research methodology and field procedures, where the researcher used a descriptive approach, and the research sample consisted of leaders in secondary schools in Basra Governorate. The fourth chapter discusses the results, and in the fifth chapter, the researchers conclude by identifying the levels of the scale. As for recommendations, the researchers recommend disseminating the results of the study to all scout and school departments and conducting similar studies.
