The effect of using Scamper strategy on learning the high dribbling '' and chest pass skills for students''

Abstract
The current research aimed at preparing teaching unit using Scamper strategy to learn the two skills of high dribbling and chest pass in basketball and to identify the effect of Scamper strategy on learning the two skills of high dribbling and chest pass in basketball for students. The research hypothesized that Scamper strategy and the method of teaching adopted by the lecturer have a positive effect on the learning of the two skills of high dribbling and chest pass in basketball.
The research used the experimental methodology. The population of the research consisted of (72) second grade students / College of Physical Education and Sport Science at Mosul University for the academic year 2024-2025. The research sample was randomly selected using the lottery and the sample consisted of (20) students from one section (section C) and it represented (27.77%) of the population of the research. The sample was divided into two groups; the control group and the experimental groupm each of which included (10) students. The resources used were manifested by: Arabic and English references, personal interviews and the form of experts’ opinions and the work team. Tools and devices used involved a measurement tape (in centimeters), a scale for measuring the weight (Seca model), (20) balls, stakes, (2) timing watches and one Casio model calculator in addition to the tests and measurements.
