Difficulties of the sports selection process for school teams from the point of view of physical education teachers

Abstract
This study aimed to identify the difficulties encountered in the sports selection process for school teams from the perspective of physical education teachers. The study employed a descriptive methodology, and the sample consisted of 96 female physical education teachers in Palestine, randomly selected. An electronic questionnaire was distributed to the sample to gather data. Analysis of the results revealed significant challenges faced by physical education teachers in the sports selection process for school teams of talented students. Therefore, the study recommended the development of a comprehensive sports selection course within teacher training institutions, the continuous organization of seminars and training workshops to enhance the sports selection process in schools and address its challenges, and increased coordination and collaboration between the Ministry of Education and schools when planning competitions, ensuring sufficient time for their execution.
