Emotional Maturity and its Relationship to Motivation for Athletic Achievement among Fourth-Year Female Students

Abstract

The aim of the research was to identify the relationship between emotional maturity and sports achievement motivation among fourth-year students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Maysan for the academic year 2024-2025. The researcher used the descriptive approach. The research community included fourth-year students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Theoretical Sciences Branch, numbering (42) students. The research sample was selected from fourth-year students numbering (35) students, representing (83.333%) of the original research community. As for the most important conclusions and recommendations, the researcher concluded that the research community enjoys a high degree of emotional maturity, especially in the fourth stage. Accordingly, the recommendation was made: Applying the psychological scales under investigation (emotional maturity and sports achievement motivation scales) to larger samples in various sports activities.
