Abstract

This study aimed to identify the performance level of physical education teachers as scout leaders in schools in Basra Governorate. The researchers used a descriptive approach to develop a performance scale for physical education teachers as scout leaders. The research sample consisted of 210 male and female teachers from a total population of 438. The scale was administered to a sample of 150 working physical education teachers. The researchers concluded that the performance scale is capable of measuring the performance level of physical education teachers as scout leaders. Therefore, it is recommended that the current scale be adopted by the sports and scouting activities department for evaluating physical education teachers.
