Analysis of some biokinematic and kinematic variables for the throwing phase (put the force) and their relationship to achievement in discus throwing

Abstract
The aim of the research was to identify the values of the biomechanical and kinetic variables of the throwing stage (force position) in discus throw for advanced players and to find the relationship of these values to the achievement. The researcher used the descriptive approach using the correlational method to suit the nature of the study problem. The sample was selected using the comprehensive inventory method, amounting to (6) throwers for the (discus throw) event, who qualified for the final of the fifth West Asian Championship held in Basra, Iraq. All successful attempts of the throwers, which numbered (19), were analyzed. After analyzing and discussing the results, the researcher concluded that there was a high significant inverse correlation with statistical significance for all time variables with the achievement, and a high significant direct correlation with statistical significance for the rest of the variables except for the variable (moment of inertia), which showed no correlation. The researcher recommended conducting studies and research on throwing events from rotation, such as hammer throw and weight push, due to the pivotal importance of mechanical variables in the achievement.
