Abstract
The aim of the research is to identify the effect of Hilda's model in learning some basic skills in free swimming for students and the researchers used the experimental method. The research community was the first-year students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra. The researcher concluded that Hilda's model is important and essential in learning some basic skills in free swimming for students. Accordingly, it was recommended to adopt Hilda's model as it is important and essential in learning some basic skills in free swimming for students.
