Abstract

The study aimed to assess the level of sportsmanship among players of the Palestinian national football team and to identify differences in sportsmanship based on variables such as experience playing for the team, educational qualification, and place of residence. The methodology used was descriptive survey, and a questionnaire was employed as a measuring tool on a purposive sample of 23 players, representing the entire population. The results showed that the level of sportsmanship among players of the Palestinian national football team was high. Additionally, there were no significant differences in the study variables (experience playing for the team, educational qualification), nor were there differences based on the variable of place of residence, except in the area of respect for social traditions, where it favored the village. The researcher recommended the necessity of enhancing sportsmanship among players of the Palestinian national football team, as well as developing specialized programs to promote sportsmanship and develop sporting values among players.
