Personal intelligence and its relationship to the performance of some offensive skills in handball

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the effect of the players' personal intelligence on some offensive skills in handball. The researchers adopted the descriptive approach in the survey method for its suitability to the nature of the research, and the research community may consist of (55) players, as the injured players and goalkeepers were excluded so that the sample settled on (50) players, with a percentage of (90.90%) of the total research community, and the most important ones were identified The skills involved in performing the particular game. The main tests were conducted on the research sample, and by conducting statistical treatments, the researchers reached the following conclusions :


-Personal intelligence has a clear importance in improving a player's ability to perform offensive skills.


-The higher the intelligence, the higher the player's ability to perform .


The researchers also recommend :-


  -Attention to developing personal intelligence through which the athlete reaches the stage of forming acquired mental concepts and pairing perception and movement .


-Organizing courses for coaches on how to activate intelligence to develop the ability of their players to correct sports skills .
