Abstract

This study aimed that physical activity and a nutritional education program could reduce depression among non-athletic women in Iraq. A 12-week trial of physical activity and nutritional awareness was conducted on a group of non-athletic women (experimental, n = 22; control group, n = 22). Both the experimental and control groups completed the pre- test and post-tests, but only the participants in the experimental group received the research program. Field tests were used to measure all variables. After controlling for demographic factors and other confounding factors, the post-test analysis of scores for the two experimental and control groups showed that the difference between the mean scores of the two groups is statistically significant in depression: (p = 0.918), which showed that the activity and nutritional education program can positively affect reducing depression among Non-mathematical women.
