The difficulties of the institutional reality of disabled sport in Syria

Abstract

The various sports organizations considered to be the interface of the sports community towards better performance, in which the performance of individuals is the basis and the cornerstone for the strength of the performance of these organizations, which operate within the systematic and organized institutional framework and governed by rules and nature of work with the disabled.

This study seeks to reveal the most serious obstacles facing the institutional work of the disabled sport in Syrian Arab Republic according to the staff point of view.

The study investigated the obstacles in the administrative, financial, social and technical fields.

The study concluded that regulations and legislation are the most influential obstacles in the administrative field. The lack of incentives is the first obstacle in the financial field; the social culture is the most influential obstacle in the social field, the lack of specialized staff is the hardest obstacle in the technical field.
