Abstract

The study aimed to identify the most important teaching competencies of Physical Education Department teachers from the point of view of their students and determine their levels, and the relationship of teaching competencies of physical education teachers to the motivation of learning and the relationship between students themselves with each other and between students and physical education teachers. The study was restricted to fourth-grade students in the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, College of Basic Education, Al-Mustansiriya University for the academic year 2020-2021, and their number was 165 distributed between 95 male and 70 female students. The researcher used the descriptive approach in the method, relationship studies Connectivity by identifying the correlational relationship between the teaching competencies of physical education teachers from the point of view of their students, as well as the relationship between the teaching competencies of teachers and students' motivation to learn. The researcher used the research tools appropriate to the nature of the objectives and the problem of the research if the questionnaire was used as a tool in addition to the measure of motivation to learn as well as a questionnaire for class interaction in the form of a note card, and the rese One of the most important results of the research is the existence of a positive correlation between the teaching competencies of physical education teachers and students ’motivation to learn.archer used the appropriate means for the nature of the research procedures.
