Evaluating the criteria for selecting young talents in Algerian football in comparison with international standards.

Abstract

The importance of this study is evidenced by the definition of the status of the subject of selection as a basic building block in the world of sport in general and in football in particular, and for this the two researchers used the questionnaire and test tools in their study, where we directed the questionnaire to a group of 33 coaches who numbered in order to survey Their opinion on the reality of selection locally and its suitability to international standards, and for the test, we conducted a set of physical and physiological tests during the selection process on a sample of 53 players from the national elite clubs for a category of less than 14 years and compared it with the results of the selection tests in the same sample of the French National Training Center, as well as We chose the appropriate descriptive method for thesestudies.

The researchobjectives were as follows:

 1) -Assessing the reality of sports selection and mentoring in the Algerian elite clubs and closely seeing it and knowing whether these criteria are based on studied and codified scientific facts such as those used by major training centers in Europe.

 2) - Knowing the individual differences between the national sample and the spokensample.

 The most important conclusions: The results of this study resulted in the local clubs not subjecting the selection process to scientific and international standards, in addition to the superiority of the French sample over the national sample in various physical and physiological abilities.

It wasrecommended : The necessity of codifying the selection process and sports mentoring, as well as the necessity of relying on international standards as a reference on which to base thisprocess.
