Health behavior and its trends among working administrators In the universities of the Kurdistan Region

Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify the health behavior and its trends among administrators working in universities in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, represented by the administrators working in the colleges and departments of the universities of the Kurdistan Region of teaching staff only, and the number of the sample was (126)


The sample was randomly selected in equal proportions according to their numbers in the universities, including all the region's governmental universities, and the researcher used the descriptive approach using the survey studies method


The researcher used the behavioral and health attitude scale that was used in the study (Mazen Abdul Hadi and others 2008, This scale is applied to the Iraqi environment and consists of two parts, the first part to measure health behavior and the second part to measure trends towards healthy behavior, And to analyze the results statistically, percentages, mean, standard deviation, relative importance, and percentage were used , The researcher concluded that no distinct and clear characteristic of the sample appeared superior to other characteristics in all fields, whether these characteristics were positive or negative , The research sample also did not show a clear interest in some regular and regular check-ups, such as a physical examination, body examination, heart examination, anemia and diabetes , The research sample showed a positive trend somewhat in eating fruits and vegetables and avoiding salt, fiber, fats and cholesterol.


As for the axis of the trend towards healthy behavior, good results showed and a positive trend in paying attention to healthy nutrition, getting enough time to sleep, maintaining an ideal weight, and paying attention to cleaning teeth.
