Abstract

Scientific progress is a hallmark of our present era, encompassing all aspects of life, including sports, which has interacted with numerous natural and human sciences to comprehensively and rigorously prepare individuals to reach the highest levels in their chosen sport. Since this individual preparation cannot be achieved without these sciences, it is essential to develop training methods that contribute to the advancement of all sports. Weightlifting, in particular, requires preparation, physical strength, and high skill. Currently, weightlifters need a high level of physical ability, especially specific muscular strength, as this is the fundamental factor in performance. This activity demands both strength and speed to overcome the significant resistance that weightlifters face This necessitates the availability of certain tools required by the coach in some training situations, including air-cushioned shoes that influence physical capabilities in order to develop active muscle groups. Weightlifters typically wear shoes with a hard sole to provide greater stability when lifting heavy weights. Here, the researcher turned to training with air-cushioned shoes that induce high tension For the quadriceps muscle during training, this leads to a significant mobilization of muscle fibers, attempting to stabilize because it introduces variety and change in training, breaks the barrier of boredom, and creates excitement and thrill for the athletes. The problem manifests itself in a decrease in the speed-strength characteristic of weightlifters during the pulling phases, resulting in a slowness in the speed of lifting the weight and an inability to achieve "speed-strength" to lift the weight to a possible height In order for the weightlifter to be able to go down under the weight easily, the weakness in the strength characterized by speed limits the ability to exceed the maximum weights despite having general muscular strength. The researcher identified the research community, which is the players of the Baghdad Municipality team for the year (2025), and their number is (15). (12) players were chosen as a sample for the research according to the random method, and they constitute a percentage of (80%). They were divided into two equivalent groups in the same way, with (6) players for each grou The researcher concluded that training with air-operated shoes contributed to the development of leg muscles and lower body muscle groups, benefiting the experimental group. Training with air-operated shoes increases and helps mobilize more muscle fibers than using classical exercises, thus contributing to the development of speed-strength. The researcher recommended further research into the use of different types of shoes in training for various events, and conducting similar studies on other groups not covered in this study, as well as on other events such as the snatch.
