Main Article Content
Abstract
The research aimed to study the cognitive flexibility of physical education teachers in secondary schools from the point of view of supervisors 2025-2026. The researchers used the descriptive method (survey study) as it was suitable for the nature of the research. The research population consisted of 170 supervisors (both subject-matter and technical) from the Rusafa 1, Rusafa 2, Rusafa 3, Karkh 1, Karkh 2, and Karkh 3 districts of Baghdad Governorate during the 2025-2026 academic year. The researchers used a questionnaire to collect the necessary data to achieve the research objective. This questionnaire aimed to identify the cognitive flexibility of physical education teachers in secondary schools from the perspective of the supervisors (subject-matter and technical). The most important findings of the research included the need for future studies on the cognitive flexibility scale with other samples in the field of education, generalizing the research results to physical education teachers across Iraq due to the similarity of educational and social conditions among the governorates, and focusing on the area of intellectual fluency (exploratory fluency) to generate the largest number of ideas and explore all aspects of the problem, as this area has the lowest mean score.
