The effect of fartlek training on developing speed endurance, lactic acid capacity, and 3000-meter running performance for elite runners
Main Article Content
Abstract
This will lead to raising the level of individual achievement and subsequently achieving a new level of achievement in the country. Therefore, scientific methods, training techniques, and technical and field knowledge must be used to solve the problems of developing track and field sports in the country and bringing them up to international standards, Through the experience of the two researchers, they noticed a decline in the physical level in the last distances of the 3000-meter running event as a result of weakness in speed endurance and lactic capacity during the stages of the race and the inability to maintain a high performance pace. The two researchers decided to prepare physical training using the fartlek method, which is the most effective in enhancing the research variables. The population was determined to be elite runners of the 3000-meter event for the 2025 sports season, and their number is (14) runners. The sample was divided into two groups, the experimental group and the control group, and each group was (7) runners. The two researchers recommended conducting studies for different age groups and for both genders.
