Motor response exercises based on mental abilities and their impact on the accuracy of skill performance and some motor skills of young freestyle wrestling players aged 16-18 years
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aimed to identify the effect of motor response exercises based on cognitive abilities on developing skill performance accuracy and certain motor abilities among youth freestyle wrestlers (aged 16–18 years). The researchers employed experimental design with two groups (experimental and control) using pre- and post-testing. The research sample consisted of 20 players who were intentionally selected from Al-Adhamiya Sports Club in Baghdad. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in all variables for the experimental group, whereas the improvement observed in the control group was limited and not statistically significant. Accordingly, the researchers recommend incorporating this type of exercise into periodic training programs.
