The effect of the Ayas model on reducing attention deficits and learning some basic volleyball skills for female students

Abstract

The research aimed to identify the degree of attention deficit among second-year female students at the University of Baghdad / College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, to develop educational units based on the Ayas model, to teach some basic volleyball skills to the research sample, and to identify the effect of the Ayas model in reducing attention deficit and learning some basic volleyball skills among the research sample,.

The research hypotheses are that there are statistically significant differences between the results of the pre-tests and post-tests for the control and experimental groups in reducing attention deficits and learning some basic volleyball skills for female students, and there are statistically significant differences between the results of the post-tests for the control and experimental groups in reducing attention deficits and learning some basic volleyball skills for female students. The researchers used the experimental method with the design of the control and experimental groups with a pre-test and post-test to suit the research problem on a sample of second-year female students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls/University of Baghdad, whose number is (44) female students,

After administering the skills tests, the questionnaires were collected for statistical analysis. Based on the results, the researchers reached several conclusions, including the superiority of the Ayas model over the traditional teaching method. A comparison between the post-test results of the control group (which studied using the traditional method) and the post-test results of the experimental group (which studied using the Ayas model) demonstrated that the Ayas model contributed to organizing and sequencing the learning process, leading to improved motor comprehension and skill performance accuracy. In light of these conclusions, the researchers recommend adopting the Ayas model for teaching basic volleyball skills to female students and developing a training program for teachers on how to use the Ayas model to enhance physical education lessons
