Abstract

Curricula are among the most important elements of the teaching and learning process. The quality of the curriculum directly impacts the quality of the outputs of this process and is a key factor in its success. These outputs are academically qualified and competent learners who possess specialized skills in various fields, enabling them to easily enter the labor market and facilitating their competition for educational and professional opportunities. Therefore, curricula are in dire need of development and keeping pace with all that is new. This study aimed to identify the quality standards of the educational curriculum that are suitable for labor market requirements from the perspective of students in some colleges of physical education and sports science. To achieve this, a questionnaire was designed for this purpose, and the study sample consisted of (250) graduating students. A five-point Likert scale was used, and its practical foundations were extracted. The results showed that there is cooperation between colleges and the labor market through the organization of various workshops and seminars, and that the curriculum objectives are linked to labor market requirements. In light of these findings, the researchers recommended developing a clear vision for graduate qualifications to inform curriculum development and improvement, as well as enhancing the educational environment, including academic services and administration. They also recommended focusing on developing relationships between private sector institutions and colleges to help colleges understand labor market needs.
