Managing the organizational challenges of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 from a fan's perspective

Abstract

The study included an introduction to the study and a statement of the importance of hosting the most important football event in the world organized by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), the difficulties and challenges facing the host countries, and highlighting the challenges faced by the State of Qatar from the moment it was announced that it won the right to host .The importance of the study lies in identifying the administrative treatments followed by the organizing committees to confront all challenges .The problem appears in the State of Qatar being exposed to a torrent of criticism and skepticism about its success in hosting this global event.

The research objectives focused on building and applying the Challenge Management Scale: Qatar World Cup (FIFA) 2022 from the point of view of fans and setting standard levels for the scale. The researcher used the descriptive approach with the survey method because it is more appropriate for the research objectives and the nature of the problem. The research community consisted of fans and supporters attending the State of Qatar to support the participating teams. The sample was selected randomly, consisting of (824 ) fans and distributed into three groups: first, the exploratory research sample, which included (25) individuals, the construction sample, which numbered (432) fans, and the final application sample, which consisted of (384) fans.The researchers concluded in building and applying the challenge management scale: The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 from the fans' point of view, In addition to the State of Qatar’s ability to present an integrated organization file from all directions, it was met with great satisfaction and acceptance by the public.. As for the most important recommendations, he recommends that developing and major countries benefit from the Qatari experience in organizing major tournaments as a model, in addition to seeking the expertise of organizers by countries interested in organizing tournaments
