Abstract

The importance of research was manifested in raising the scientific level in the game of basketball, especially the basic offensive skills, as well as communicating scientific information to the teacher and student about the importance of any successful and best teaching method in education, including the programmed teaching method of its two types (linear and differential), which has proven its success in some other team games.

The main objectives of the research were:

1- Recognizing the effect of the two programmed teaching methods (linear and differential) in learning some basic offensive skills in basketball for secondary school students aged (12-14).

The most important conclusions were:Programmed instruction according to the two teaching methods (linear and differential) is of great importance in learning some basic offensive skills in basketball for secondary school students aged (12-14)

It was recommended:Adopting the teaching method of programmed education according to the two teaching methods (linear and differential) within the curriculum of the physical education lesson in teaching some basic offensive skills in basketball for secondary school students aged (12-14)
