The Effect of Natural Vitamins (B12 and C) on Some Functional, Biochemical, and Immune Activity Indicators Among Wrestling Athletes at Al-Basra Oil Club, Youth Category

Abstract
Research Importance: The importance of this research lies in monitoring the impact of endurance exercises prepared by the researchers, along with the natural vitamins used, on the functional systems of the body in order to induce positive changes that are reflected in the performance of wrestling holds during matches, and in reducing fatigue. Fatigue is primarily caused by energy by-products, decreased immune activity, and poor performance endurance among wrestlers
Research Objective: The study aims to administer natural vitamins C and B12 accompanied by endurance exercises prepared for the experimental sample in order to identify differences between pre- and post-tests of the experimental variable by measuring immune activity, performance endurance, and selected blood parameters for both the experimental and control groups
Research Population and Sample: The research sample consisted of wrestling athletes at Al-Basra Oil Club for the 2024/2025 season. They were from the youth category, aged between 13 and 15 years, with a total of 21 wrestlers
Research Conclusions: The researcher concluded that integrating the experimental variable—oxygen-based exercises and performance endurance training accompanied by natural vitamins B12 and C—had a clearly positive effect on the dependent variables under study, which included biochemical measurements, functional indicators, blood parameters, and performance endurance
Recommendations: The researchers recommend emphasizing the combination of training with nutritional supplements and vitamins that contribute to increasing energy production and immune activity among wrestlers, as well as enhancing blood parameters, recovery abilityand performance endurance
