Comparative Analysis of Physical and Bio kinematic Variables via MediaPipe among Sports Science Students and Advanced Football Players
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aimed to evaluate the accuracy and efficiency of the MediaPipe technique in extracting biomechanical indicators using a smartphone camera. The researcher adopted the descriptive comparative approach due to its suitability to the nature of the study. The sample consisted of 20 participants, including (10 students from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences and 10 advanced players from Samarra Sports Club). The findings revealed the superiority of the advanced Samarra club players in indicators of explosive power—namely jump height and flight time—reflecting the impact of advanced training on the knee and hip musculature. The researcher therefore recommends the gradual adoption of the MediaPipe technique in performance assessment within sports clubs and universities, supported by simple procedural guidelines.
