Effectiveness of a Specialized Fitness Program in Rehabilitating Quadriceps Injuries among Female Football Players

Abstract

The study aimed to design a specialized physical fitness program for the rehabilitation of quadriceps muscle injuries in female football players and to examine its effectiveness on muscular strength, flexibility, and motor coordination. The research sample consisted of one experimental unit that included two female players suffering from quadriceps muscle injuries from Hebheb Football Club. The training program was applied for a period of six weeks, with three training sessions per week, and included exercises aimed at increasing muscular strength, improving flexibility, and enhancing motor coordination. The results showed a clear improvement in all the studied variables, as the researcher observed an increase in the explosive strength of the legs, better control of movement during changes of direction, and increased flexibility of the injured muscles. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that applying a specialized physical fitness program is an effective method for rehabilitating quadriceps muscle injuries in female football players. The study also indicates that regular and progressive training contributes to reducing recovery time and improving overall physical performance. Accordingly, the researcher recommends integrating such specialized programs into muscle rehabilitation processes, with careful monitoring of players’ performance to ensure maximum benefit and reduce the risk of premature return to competition.
