The level of resilience of the sports ego and its relationship to the level of sports ambition among players of Iraqi university basketball teams

Abstract

  This research aimed to identify the level of athletic ego flexibility and athletic ambition. The researchers used a descriptive approach with correlational studies. The study sample consisted of 342 players distributed across 57 university basketball teams. The sample was selected randomly. The researchers concluded that players on Iraqi university basketball teams possess a high level of athletic ego flexibility. They also recommended encouraging players on Iraqi university basketball teams to participate in lectures and educational workshops on the concepts of athletic ego flexibility and athletic ambition.
