Psychological barriers and their relationship to psychological flow among young wrestling players
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aimed to examine the relationship between psychological barriers and psychological flow among youth wrestlers. A descriptive correlational method was employed. The research sample consisted of nine youth wrestlers from Diyala Sports Club. The findings indicated that psychological barriers represent a negative aspect of athletes’ psychological states during training and competition, potentially hindering optimal performance. The study highlights the importance of understanding athletes’ psychological conditions to enhance performance outcomes. Accordingly, the researcher recommends the implementation of counseling and guidance programs for athletes, as they play a significant role in improving performance, developing psychological and personal aspects, enhancing social adjustment, and providing necessary support during periods of pressure and challenging situations.
