Leadership skills and their relationship to job performance among faculty members at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / University of Dhi Qar

Abstract
The aim of the research was to develop a leadership skills scale and a job performance scale for faculty members at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Dhi Qar University. The study used a descriptive survey approach to suit the nature of the study. The research community was represented by faculty members at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Dhi Qar University, numbering (74) faculty members. The sample for construction and application included (50) faculty members. The researcher constructed a leadership skills scale and a job performance scale. The researcher concluded that there is a significant correlation between leadership skills and job performance among professors at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Dhi Qar University. Accordingly, it was recommended that workshops and training courses be organized for university professors to enhance leadership skills, such as motivational skills, decision-making, effective communication, and stress management
