Abstract

The study was conducted on (45) professor of sports education and(900) students in the third stage of the intermediate education for the academic year (2019-2020) in the state of Messila, and the researcher adopted in this study two approaches (Content Analysis" Analysis of the curriculum of physical and sports education", and the descriptive method of the survey) and identified the problem of research:


1-Determine the role of competency approach in the curriculum of physical and sports education.


2-knowledge of the values of good citizenship contained in the new physical and sports education curriculum.


 3-revealing the values of citizenship available to students in the physical education and sports lesson based on the approach with competencies.


The study after fieldwork concluded that:


1-the new physical education and sports curricula contain low ratios of citizenship values.


 2-Physical and sports education class in which the values of public citizenship, especially moral values, are applied .


 3-there are differences between the responses of third-year average students about the extent to which the physical and sports education quota develops the values of citizenship
