The level of knowledge of fitness terminology and vocabulary in English among students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Al-Hashimiyya University

Abstract
This study aimed to measure the knowledge base of fitness terminology and vocabulary in English among students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the Hashemite University. The researcher used the descriptive survey method, as it was suitable for the nature and objectives of the study. The study sample consisted of 152 male and female students from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, out of a total student body of 1175. The researcher designed a questionnaire to measure knowledge base, consisting of two sections: the first section contained students' personal data, and the second section was the study questionnaire (ANOVA). The results of the study indicated that the level of knowledge base of fitness terminology and vocabulary in English among students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences was high. Therefore, it was recommended that the knowledge base of English fitness terminology was at a good level
