The effect of an educational approach based on the metacognitive learning cycle strategy on the visual memory of legal refereeing signals in volleyball for students
Main Article Content
Abstract
The research aims to identify the impact of the educational curriculum based on the metacognitive learning cycle strategy and the curriculum followed. An experimental approach was used with two equivalent groups, with pre-test and post-test. The research sample consisted of fourth-year students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for evening studies at the University of Diyala for the academic year 2024-2025. The curriculum took (6) weeks to implement, with one educational unit per week. The number of educational units reached (6). The researchers concluded that the educational curriculum based on the metacognitive learning cycle strategy significantly helped develop students' visual memory for legal volleyball refereeing signals.
Accordingly, it was recommended to use the metacognitive learning cycle strategy to develop students' visual memory for legal volleyball refereeing signals.
