A rehabilitation program for partial ankle rupture injury for football players in Basra Governorate

Abstract

The research aimed to prepare a rehabilitation curriculum for treating partial ankle joint rupture. The researcher adopted the experimental method for its suitability for the research study. The research sample was players from Basra Governorate, aged 25-30 years, and their number was 7 players. The injury and its degree were diagnosed by a specialist doctor. The curriculum was applied for six weeks, at a rate of three weekly units. Rehabilitation exercises have a positive impact on the rehabilitation and treatment of ankle joint rupture for injured soccer players, which achieved a good result in the return of the injured to their normal condition. It also recommends the necessity of emphasizing the use of moving and fixed exercises within the components of the rehabilitation curriculum
