Psychological and social pressures on people with various disabilities from the perspective of their teachers in Iraq

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the psychological and social pressures suffered by athletes with various disabilities from the point of view of coaches of Iraqi clubs for the disabled. The study sample consisted of 27 male and female coaches in Iraqi clubs for the disabled. The researchers used the descriptive analytical approach for its suitability for this study, and built a questionnaire for psychological and social pressures as a tool for collecting data. The scale included (23) paragraphs, and the research included the study variables according to (academic qualification, years of experience). The results of the study reached by the researchers showed that there are no statistically significant differences at the significance level (α≤ 0.05) for the psychological and social pressures suffered by athletes with various disabilities in Iraqi clubs for the disabled from the point of view of coaches of Iraqi clubs for the disabled according to the variables (academic qualification, training experience). In light of the research results, the researchers recommended rehabilitating buildings in Iraqi clubs to meet the needs of various disabilities, and developing training curricula and activities to suit the needs of disabled players
