Main Article Content
Abstract
The aim of the research was to identify the effect of exercises using the reciprocal method in learning the forehand and backhand ground stroke skill in tennis among the research sample. The researcher used the experimental method by designing the experimental and control groups with pre- and post-tests to suit the nature of the problem to be addressed. The research community included third-year students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / University of Diyala for the academic year (2024-2025), numbering (116) students who represented the research community. Two groups were selected randomly by lottery, i.e. in an irregular manner. The researcher concluded that the exercises used in the reciprocal method have a positive effect in learning the forehand and backhand ground stroke skill in tennis. Accordingly, it was recommended to teach students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences the basic skills in tennis using the reciprocal method
