The effect of exercises according to formal modeling in learning some basic football skills for students

Abstract

The research aimed to identify the effect of exercises, as modeled pictorially, on learning basic football skills for students. The experimental method was employed using the two-group equal method to suit the nature of the research. The research sample was the second-stage students in the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences/College of Basic Education/Al-Mustansiriya University. The researchers studied the following skills: (rolling, passing, and scoring) according to the curriculum prescribed for second-stage students. The researchers concluded that using pictorial modeling is of great importance in learning some basic football skills. Accordingly, it was recommended that it is necessary to rely on pictorial and auditory models in building educational curricula for students
