The role of social control in confronting behavioral deviations in female students

Abstract

The research aimed to describe the reality of behavioral deviations in the university environment and the role of social control in reducing them. The researchers used the descriptive approach to collect data and analyze it statistically. Then, they used a social control scale consisting of (29) paragraphs and applied the research tool to a sample of (107) female students from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls. Through the results, it became clear that social control is the most effective method through which behavioral deviations can be controlled and reduced. The researchers concluded that (educating female students about positive values ​​and avoiding negative values, including behavioral deviations that are harmful to the individual and society. Parents must use democratic methods in the process of socialization and not use negative methods so that their children do not practice some behavioral deviations
