Abstract

The research aimed at the level of social relations between the students of the Students Activities Department members at the University of Salahaddin and the head of the department. The descriptive survey research method was used, using the correlational relations method. In order to achieve the research objectives, the opinions of writers and researchers were analyzed on the dimensions of proactive behavior (voice, individual innovation, assuming responsibility), as well as the opinions of writers and researchers on the dimensions of social relations (professional, social). In order to determine the nature of the relationship between these variables, the questionnaire was used as the main tool for collecting data. It was concluded that the members of the Student Activities Department in the colleges of Salahuddin University have social relations with the head of the Student Activities Department at a high level in the professional dimension and they have a very high level of relations in the social dimension, except for what relates to the Director of the Activities Department listening to opinions and suggestions related to work that came at a low level and the Director of the Department defending the members when they are exposed to criticism or abuse at work. Accordingly, the most important recommendations were for the Director of the Student Activities Department to listen to the opinions and suggestions presented by the members of the department regarding work, as well as defend them when they are exposed to abuse at work.
