The effect of counseling sessions on the self-confidence of people with disabilities in some individual games in Najaf Governorate

Abstract

The research aimed to investigate the effect of counseling sessions for individuals with disabilities on specific games in Najaf Governorate. The researchers used the experimental design of the two equal experimental and control groups with pre-test and post-test. The research sample was the players of some individual games from the disabled in Najaf Governorate. After the main experiment was applied to them, the results were analyzed and processed using (SPSS). The researchers reached the results of the counseling sessions based on the theory of realistic therapy and based on the method of group counseling and through the method of group discussions. It had a clear effect in developing self-confidence. The researchers recommended the necessity of using counseling programs and methods and awareness of the importance of these methods with disabled athletes
