Abstract

Research Summary The research aims to:

1-Measuring the mental perception of young football players. .

2-Exposing the relationship of mental perception with the performance of some basic football skills. As for the research hypothesis, it was: 1- The existence of a statistically significant relationship between the results of measuring mental perception and the performance of some basic football skills. The researcher used the descriptive approach in the survey method because it is the most appropriate to achieve the goals and hypotheses of the research The research sample included (32) youngsters from Diyala Sports Club for juniors under 16 years old who are officially registered in the Iraqi Central Football Association lists for the 2018-2019 sports season with the goalkeepers excluded from mental perception tests (5) players were excluded to represent the experience Exploratory. The researcher conducted the homogeneity of the body measurements of the research sample in the variables (height, weight, age).

The researcher used the mental perception scale designed by (Renner Martens) (martens 1982), and it includes four dimensions (visual and auditory perception, motor sensation and the accompanying emotional state) and four attitudes (individual practice, practice with others, watch the colleague, perform in competition)
