Abstract

The aim of the research was to know the effect of mixing speed exercises on anaerobic ability (phosphagen) and skill performance of young football players. The researchers adopted the applied approach. The research community was determined by the players of Al-Najaf Sports Club for the sports season (2023-2024), numbering (30) players. Therefore, the researchers determined the measures and tests of variables. The researchers concluded that mixing speed exercises had a positive effect on skill performance by increasing the activity of special muscle work, and also that mixing speed exercises helped develop anaerobic ability (phosphagen) and skill performance of young players. Accordingly, the researchers recommended that club and national team coaches use mixing speed exercises in their training curricula because of its positive effect on players.
