الملخص

هدفت البحث إلى قياس مستوى الضغوط الشخصية ومستوى إدارة الذات لدى القادة الكشفية، واستعمل الباحثان المنهج الوصفي المسحي ودراسات الارتباط. اذ تم اختيار عينة البحث من القادة الكشفيين في محافظة البصرة بالطريقة العمدية، وتم بناء مقياسين معياريين لقياس المتغيرين، مع ضمان مؤشرات الصدق والثبات.  واستنتج الباحثان كلما زادت الضغوط المرتبطة بالعمل الكشفي (مثل التخطيط للمخيمات الطارئة في ظل ظروف أمنية صعبة)، تراجعت قدرة القادة على تنظيم الوقت والتحكم في الانفعالات. وعليه تمت التوصية تسليط الضوء على ضرورة قيام المدربين بتبني استراتيجيات تعزز القدرات الذاتية لإدارة الضغوط لدى القادة، نظراً للارتباط العكسي بين متغيري الدراسة
