Abstract

The research aims to design a training device as well as design special exercises on that device. The researchers used the experimental method and designed a single experimental group with pre- and post-tests. The research sample was represented by the players of the national team for the advanced category in artistic gymnastics, numbering (5) players for the training season (2023-2024). The special exercises were applied on the designed training device at a rate of three training units per week and the results were obtained. The researchers concluded that the use of special exercises on the designed training device had a positive impact on the development of biokinematic variables and the level of technical performance of the skill of standing on the hands with a half-turn switch on the parallel device. Accordingly, it was recommended that special exercises designed by the researchers be adopted to develop the biokinematic variables of the skill of standing on the hands with a half-turn switch
